He gave me a vague outline of the project and basically gave me free reign with it as long as I "gear it towards the solfest experience" (Which is never a good idea where I'm concerned). He also wanted it to be digital art which is kind of a new area for me. So this is what I came up with.
This is the main piece and I also did 4 or 5 other little pieces to go with it which I may post up later.
Pretty good first attempt mate. Try putting a bit of a gradient on the hills to give them more feel of depth. Maybe even include some more swirls within the waves with a few different blue colours. Kind of like your sun if you get me? The mix of colours and layers to the waves might give them a nice pattern effect. It might however ruin the nice flow of the waves, just an idea though :)
